The pre-dinner program, most of which this scribe unfortunately missed, featured Matthew Keller [Matt Keller], Vice President of Global Advocacy, One Laptop Per Child [http://laptop.org], and Salman Khan (Sal Khan), founder of Khan Academy [http://www.khanacademy.org] , an Internet library of hundreds of short educational videos.
Members of Ishaara [http://www.ishaaradance.com], a California based dance troupe, performed briefly before the dinner, and for a greater length after the dinner.
DIL (Developments in Literary-- http://www.dil.org), a non-profit organization building schools in Pakistan, held its 2010 fundraiser on Saturday, November 13, at Crowne Plaza Cabana in Palo Alto, California. Around 250 people attended the program. Here you see Sara Abbasi, President of DIL's local chapter, speaking to the audience.
